- 14 - Temperance -

historical - See the angel?  The angel's pretty pointless.  Temperance is based on the old tradition of mixing wine with water to tone it down and decrease the amount of drunken peasant hobos wandering about.  Which is... kind of not the greatest thing to make a card of, but oh well. 

card - Much like Justice, a card of balance.  But instead of karma, Temperance is about the little adjustments we must make not to be complete jerkoffs. Cooperation, compromise.. the sorts of Things You Learn to Do in Kindergarten that are actually kinda important. 

temperance meaning - Managment in a cooperative, compromise-oriented manner.  Success after elaborate maneuvering and prudent planning.  Unification and reconciliation.  Patience. 

temperance reversed meaning - Fickleness or extravagence.  Faliure despire good conditions because of inept blundering.  Discord. Unwanted/unfair concessions.
